Preparación de Bautismo en San Procopio

Bienvenidos y gracias por seleccionar a San Procopio! Deseamos ayudarlos crear un momento inolvidable mientras presentan a su niño(a) a la comunidad.

Estos son unos de los pasos importantes en el proceso de preparación aquí en San Procopio:

• Ofrecemos el Sacramento de Bautizmo cabo cada sábado a las 2:30 p.m. y no hay limite de la cantidad de familias.


• Ustedes deben venir a una entrevista con el padre los Domingos a las 4:00 p.m.:




• Para demonstrar su deseo de crear su niño en la fe, pedimos que los padres asisten la misa dominical por lo menos 4 veces antes de su bautismo


• Padres y padrinos deben asistir a dos platicas pre-bautismales. Cada clase es de 3 houras. Estas clases son para mejorar su entiendamiento de los sacramentos:


• Ofrecemos las placticas en conjunto con otras parroquias del vecindad.


• El Personal de la oficina lo ayudara a conseguir los pases que ustedes necisitaran para sus fechas especificas. Vea el calendario de las placticas.


• Las clases son para los adultos. Por favor, no traigan a sus hijos.


• Aunque solo un padrino es necesario; acaptamos la feliz tradicion de tener dos: un padrino y una madrina. Padrinos tiene que ser bautizados.


• Registración para el bautizo se debe hacer a mas tardar una semana antes del evento.


• Debe traer lo siguiente:


• Certificados de las platicas Pre-bautismales de los padres y padrino(s)


• Acta de nacimiento del bebe


• Normalmente la donación es $60 ($30 de los padres y $30 de los padrinos)









Baptism Preparation at St. Procopius Parish



Welcome and thank you for choosing St. Procopios. We hope to help you create an unforgetable moment as you present your child into our community.



Here are some of the important steps in the preparation process here at St Procopius Parish:




• Baptisms take place every Saturday at 2:30 p.m. They are done bilingually according to the preference of the majority.



• Begin the process by having both parents come to a short interview with the priest on Sunday afternoons at 4:00 p.m. or by appointment.


• To demonstrate your desire to raise your child as practicing Catholics, we ask the parents to promise to attend Sunday Mass at least 4 times before the Baptism.


• You and the godparent(s) are invited to attend two pre-baptismal classes. The classes are 3 hours each. These classes will help improve your understanding of the Sacraments.


• We offer the classes in conjunction with other Parishes in our neighborhood on Friday nights, Saturday mornings or Sunday afternoons. See schedule.


• The Office staff will help you get the PASSES that you will need for your specific dates.


• The classes are for adults. Please don not bring your children.


• Although only ONE Godparent is required, we gladly accept the tradition of having two: a Godfather and Godmother. Godparents must be baptized Catholics.


• Registration for the baptism must be made at least a week before the event


• You must bring the following:


• Pre-Baptismal Class Certificates from both parents and godparents


• Child's birth certificate


• Normally there is a $60 donation ($30 from the parents and $30 from the godparents)
